Sleep
I'd stop drinking coffee, but I'm no quitter!

Sleep. What exactly is that? Is it really all that important. How many of you can relate to this? I've been aiming for a goal of 7 hours of sleep each night. I thought that didn't sound like all that much. As it turns out, with a husband, two young kids, a dog (that's still a puppy), and 3 cats., 7 hours is a bit much too expect.

Seems like most nights I fall into bed around midnight or so, only to be awakened by a. my three year old, b. the puppy whining downstairs because she wants to come up to bed with us, c. a car horn, d. a train horn, e. a combination of the above. It appears that the cats and the hermit crabs are the only creatures that don't wake me up in the middle of the night. Okay, okay, the cats chase each other around the room and wake me up too.

My solution? Coffee. It's probably not the healthiest or the best choice, but considering the need to continue my full-time employment in order to live, seems like the only real option I have right now.

Is there such a thing as too much caffeine? I'd venture a guess to say that I probably drink at least 6-8 cups o' joe a day. Although, like any true addict, I bet I underestimate the consumption of my drug of choice. Coffee will be a topic for another day, as will be the nature of my addiction.
